The AI Operating System for Pest Control
An AI operating system for pest control is one platform where the AI does real work: it turns photos into quotes, answers the phone, schedules crews, collects payment, and runs the follow-up that wins the jobs you would otherwise lose. OptimizeIt is that system, built as a dedicated pest control edition rather than a generic tool with your trade's name pasted on.
What "AI operating system" means for pest control
Most software for pest control businesses stores information and waits. An operating system runs the business: every job moves from first call to paid invoice inside one system, and the AI does work at each step instead of leaving it on your plate. The test is simple. If the software cannot produce a quote, answer a call, or chase an unpaid invoice without you, it is a filing cabinet, not an operating system.
- AI quoting: photos and job details become a priced, branded quote you approve before it sends
- AI call handling: missed and after-hours calls get answered, qualified, and booked
- One record per customer: quotes, jobs, messages, invoices, and reviews in one place
- Automated follow-up: quotes get chased, reviews get asked for, repeat work gets rebooked
What it replaces
The typical pest control operation runs on a quoting app, a separate answering service, a spreadsheet doing CRM duty, a whiteboard schedule, and an invoicing tool that never talks to any of them. Every handoff between those tools is a place where a lead dies or a number gets retyped wrong. An operating system removes the handoffs, which is where most of the time savings actually come from.
AI Pest ID + Treatment Plan: the AI built for pest control
Identifies pest species from a photo, recommends EPA-aligned chemical + dose, logs usage, and schedules follow-ups.
- 200+ species recognition
- EPA chemical + dose match
- Per-site usage logs
- Quarterly recurring auto-bill
Calls answered, jobs booked, follow-up done
OptimizeIt gives your business a dedicated phone line, and the AI voice agent can answer, qualify, and book jobs when you and your crew are on a roof, under a sink, or done for the day. Every call becomes a structured lead with contact details and job context. From there, automated follow-up chases open quotes, asks for the review after the job closes, and keeps your customer list warm for repeat work.
How to evaluate an AI operating system for pest control
Cut through the AI label with four questions. Does the AI produce a real quote from real job inputs, or just draft an email? Does it answer your phone and book work, or just transcribe voicemail? Is pricing flat as your crew grows, or does every hire raise your software bill? And does a job flow from first contact to paid invoice without anyone retyping data between tools? OptimizeIt is built to answer yes to all four, and a demo is the fastest way to check that claim against your own jobs.

Frequently asked questions
What is an AI operating system for pest control?
It is one platform that runs a pest control business end to end, with AI doing real work at each step: turning job details and photos into quotes, answering and booking calls, scheduling crews, invoicing, and running follow-up. The difference from ordinary software is that the system acts instead of just storing records.
How is this different from regular pest control software?
Regular pest control software is a set of tools you operate: you write the quote, you return the missed call, you remember the follow-up. An operating system does that work itself and brings the pieces into one place, so nothing gets lost between a quoting app, an answering service, and a spreadsheet.
What does OptimizeIt include for pest control businesses?
The Pest Control edition includes AI Pest ID + Treatment Plan, AI quoting from photos and job details, a CRM with one record per customer, scheduling, invoicing and payments, a business phone line with an AI voice agent option, and automated quote follow-up plus review requests. See the Pest Control page for the full feature rundown.
How do I get started?
Book a demo or start free and run one real job through the system. Bring a recent quote and compare it against what the AI produces from the same inputs. Pricing is flat by plan rather than per seat, so a growing crew does not raise your bill; the pricing page has current plans.
Does OptimizeIt track chemical usage and EPA registration numbers for state pesticide reporting?
Partially, and this is where you should pressure-test us against PestPac before you switch. The pest control industry pack tracks chemical applications per job with EPA registration number, concentration, dilution rate, target pest, and application site captured at job completion through the technician mobile app. That data exports to CSV for state filings. Your applicators still need their state pesticide applicator license and CORE certification plus the category exams (7A structural, 7B termite, 3A ornamental, whatever your state breaks out), and the system records which licensed applicator did which application, so your audit trail holds up. Where we are honest about gaps: we do not auto-generate the California Material Reports, California Cal-Ag reports, or Arizona TARF reports the way PestPac does out of the box. We do not have a built-in workflow that uploads completion activity to the California Structural Pest Control Board. If you operate in CA and need the state board upload automation, PestPac or PestPro Termite Software is the better fit today. We can produce the underlying data in clean CSV format for those filings, but your office is still doing the submission. For states without a centralized digital reporting portal (most states), the OptimizeIt chemical log covers what you need for inspection if the state board shows up. Concentration, EPA number, applicator name, license number, weather conditions at application, address, square footage treated all get captured on the work order. If you are a 2 to 10 truck general pest operator outside California, this works. If you are a structural termite shop doing 500+ WDO inspections a year in California, wait until the state board integration ships.
Can OptimizeIt handle quarterly recurring residential contracts with autopay billing?
Yes, and this is the whole reason pest control sells at 7-10x EBITDA versus 3-5x for one-time service trades. The recurring service contract layer in the pest control industry pack handles monthly residential ($40-60/mo typical), quarterly residential ($120-200/quarter typical), bi-monthly rodent stations, monthly mosquito barriers from April through October, and commercial monthly contracts ($100-500/mo per location). Customer card stays on file, system auto-generates the work order on the recurring cadence you set, technician completes the visit on the mobile app, autopay runs against the saved card the moment the job is marked complete. Past-due aging report shows you 30/60/90 day buckets and triggers an automated dunning email at 7 days past due. NPMA data and SBA finance guidance both put recurring billing automation at 40-60% reduction in 30+ day past-due AR versus manual invoicing, which tracks with what we have seen in the OptimizeIt operator data. A few specifics for pest operators: seasonal pause is built in (you can pause a mosquito plan from November through March without canceling the contract), price escalation is supported (annual 3-5% bump on the anniversary), and the contract value rolls into your customer LTV view so you can see your $50/mo customer is worth $2,500 over a 50-month average tenure at 2% monthly attrition. Termite warranty annual renewals ($50-$200/year) are also supported as recurring annual line items. One gap to flag: we do not currently auto-mail termite renewal notices via physical letter the way PestPac does. If you have a 5,000+ termite warranty book and rely on snail-mail renewal notices, you will need to bolt on a mail merge workflow. Email and SMS renewal nudges work natively.
