Who is each for
We tell you when Supermove is the right call. Most platform decisions come down to fit, not features.
Pick Supermove if you...
- β’Run a residential or commercial moving operation at $3M+ revenue with 8+ crews
- β’Have a dedicated dispatcher and ops team comfortable with a multi-week implementation
- β’Want a polished, mature moving operations platform with strong sales-coaching AI
- β’Are okay with per-crew ($176-$275/mo) + per-truck ($39/mo) pricing that scales with fleet
- β’Have $500-$2,000 budgeted for implementation engagement
- β’Operate M-F business hours and don't need 24/7 inbound call answering today (Sales Copilot coaches your team on calls already answered, but does not answer the call itself)
Pick OptimizeIt if you...
- Want a 24/7 AI Voice Agent that answers the call, qualifies, quotes, books, and takes the deposit autonomously (not a copilot that assists agents on calls already answered)
- Want native AI photo-to-cube-sheet with FMCSA-compliant binding language injected
- Operate under $5M revenue with 2-15 crews and want to be live in 48 hours, not a multi-week implementation
- Prefer $79-$239/mo annual ($99-$299 monthly) for movers with no per-truck fees over per-crew + per-truck billing that compounds with hiring
- Run a moving operation that also covers adjacent lines (storage, junk, packing, labor-only) and want one platform
Run both if...
You operate a multi-line business with a large core moving operation already running on Supermove AND smaller adjacent service lines (junk hauling, storage, packing-only crews) that don't justify a second Supermove license. Supermove keeps the core moving lines; OptimizeIt covers the adjacent verticals on a single plan. Most operators consolidate to one platform once they trust the consolidation; this is the exception.

How OptimizeIt is different from Supermove
Built by a 15-year moving operator, not a16z-backed engineers
OptimizeIt was built by Lucas Cannon, who ran 5 Star Moving in El Cerrito, California for 15 years before founding the company. Supermove's founders are excellent engineers, Wonjun Jeong and Mark Miyashita came out of UC Berkeley CS with stints at Facebook and Pinterest. Both approaches can produce good software; they tend to produce different software.
Three principles came out of Lucas's 15 years at 5 Star that shape every moving capability we ship:
- 1.The AI has to do moving work, not just describe it.Photo-to-cube-sheet returns a priced binding quote with FMCSA disclosure language injected, ready to send. The 24/7 Voice Agent answers, walks an inventory, books the move, and captures a deposit. The Digital Bill of Lading auto-generates from the job (customer, inventory, valuation election, charges, signatures) so the foreman is not re-keying anything at the end of a 10-hour move.
- 2.The hourly billing engine has to be right the first time, every time.Crew-size rates from 1 to 10 movers, OT thresholds, configurable lunch policy, weekend and holiday premiums, portal-to-portal or door-to-door conventions. This was the unforgiving piece of running 5 Star, and it is the foundation of every other feature in OptimizeIt.
- 3.Pricing has to be legible to a working operator.Published $79 / $159 / $239 per month on annual billing (or $99 / $199 / $299 monthly) for movers, regardless of crew or truck count. A 4-truck shop running through a slow February pays the same as the same shop at peak May. Per-crew billing models force operators to think about software cost during hiring decisions; plan billing with no per-crew or per-truck fee removes most of that calculation.

Switching from Supermove
Does Supermove have an AI voice agent?+
Supermove's Sales Copilot includes AI features like automated follow-ups, call summaries, and live transcription, but does not include a native 24/7 AI voice agent that answers inbound calls and books jobs autonomously. The moving platforms with native AI voice answering are OptimizeIt (AI Voice Agent on Pro plan) and SmartMoving (Smart Scout add-on). If 24/7 inbound call coverage is the gap you are trying to close, you either need to add a separate AI Voice Agent on top of Supermove or switch to a platform with the voice agent built in.
Why do moving companies switch from Supermove?+
The three most common reasons in our customer conversations: pricing that scales with truck count (a 10-truck operation runs ~$2,150+ per month on Essentials and $3,140+ on Pro before AI add-ons; OptimizeIt Pro stays at $239/mo annual or $299/mo monthly regardless of truck count), AI features that assist your team rather than replace manual call answering, and multi-week implementation that delays time-to-value. Operators looking to flatten software costs as they grow, get 24/7 call coverage without staffing it, or use AI to handle quoting and call answering autonomously typically evaluate OptimizeIt, SmartMoving, or Elromco.
Is OptimizeIt a true Supermove alternative or just a quoting tool?+
OptimizeIt is a full operating system, not just a quoting tool. It handles the same workflow Supermove does (CRM, pipeline, quoting, dispatch, BOL, FMCSA compliance, billing, payroll, customer portal) plus AI capabilities Supermove does not have natively (autonomous photo-based AI quoting, 24/7 AI Voice Agent that books and takes deposits, smart SMS auto-reply). Moving CRM pricing is $79-$239/mo annual ($99-$299 monthly) depending on plan, regardless of truck count.
How long does Supermove take to implement?+
Multiple weeks. Virtual Estimate's 2026 review describes the Supermove onboarding curve as "High" complexity, with $500-$2,000 in implementation fees. OptimizeIt is self-serve with no implementation fee; most operators are live in 48 hours.
Will switching from Supermove disrupt my business?+
Most platform switches take 2-4 weeks of meaningful disruption if planned during a slower season. Customer data exports cleanly from Supermove. Pricing models, integrations, and team workflows are the time-consuming parts. Most operators run both platforms in parallel for 30-60 days during the transition to handle jobs already booked in Supermove. Switching during peak season (May-September for most markets) is risky and not recommended unless your current platform is actively failing.
What if I outgrow OptimizeIt?+
If you need Supermove's depth in commercial moving, third-party warehouse integrations, or a polished multi-week onboarding for a 25+ crew operation, that is the right next step. We will tell you when you are at that scale and help you transition cleanly. We are not trying to be the only platform you ever use; we are trying to be the right platform for your current scale.
Who is OptimizeIt NOT a fit for?+
Three operator profiles where Supermove is the better choice:
-
Mid-to-large commercial moving operators with $5M+ revenue and dedicated ops staff. Supermove's commercial-moving depth, warehouse integration, and account management are the right fit at that scale.
-
Operators who need Supermove's specific sales-coaching depth on inbound calls already answered. Sales Copilot is well-built for that use case; we do not try to match the live call-coaching feature set.
-
Operators who specifically want a16z-backed brand authority on their software stack. Supermove ships that. We ship operator-built methodology.
If any of those describe you, Supermove is the right call. We would rather you find that out on this page than after a free trial.
